Empowering Education: The Ciena Jump for Students Fund

This program provides fully subsidised home broadband to eligible school students and their families, breaking down the barriers posed by the cost of connectivity.

Established in 2020 in response to the challenges presented by COVID-19 lockdowns, the Ciena Jump for Students Fund has evolved into an essential for families facing connectivity and financial barriers. The most recent development is the extension of the fund until the end of the 2024 school year, thanks to sponsorship from Ciena, highlighting its continued relevance and impact for our Whanau and Tamariki.

The essence of this fund lies in its mission to support students who lack a broadband connection at home, ensuring that no student is left behind in their pursuit of education. Families enrolled in the Ciena Jump for Students fund receive a free wireless broadband modem with 210GB of data each month for an entire school year.
